A refreshing transformation of the indoor courtyard space at SNIMS Medical College, Chalakka, this project by Hug A Plant showcases how greenery can redefine the atmosphere of educational institutions. Designed to create a calm and visually balanced environment, the landscape brings natural warmth and structure into an otherwise minimal architectural setting.
The layout combines green turf, structured pebble beds, and low-maintenance tropical plants to form a soothing courtyard garden visible from all sides of the surrounding corridors. Each planting cluster — featuring Areca Palm, Dracaena Fragrans, Sansevieria, and Agave Variegata — adds contrast and rhythm, blending textures with simplicity. The white pebble borders highlight focal plants, while stepping stones introduce movement and depth.
Every element of this design emphasizes neatness, hygiene, and durability — key aspects for a medical campus setting. With balanced lighting and natural ventilation, the space feels open, inviting, and easy to maintain year-round.
